Segurança energética: risco sistêmico e flexibilidade do sistema interligado nacional

Abstract

Energy security is a topic that has become increasingly important throughout the world's industrial and technological evolution and is constantly debated in the energy policies of countries to ensure their economic growth and the well-being of their population. In this sense, this study, initially, lists some of the widespread concepts and it is observed that they are not clearly defined, but all permeate the issue of ensuring the supply chain at affordable prices. We presented the concept in Brazil, which is defined by five aspects: diversification of the energy matrix, guarantee of supply, affordable prices, sustainability and social aspects, and then expose the evolution of SEB and its contribution to national energy security. Finally, we presented the contributions of the Itaipu plant to the country's energy security, from which we conclude that Brazil has advanced in the search for energy security, especially after the energy crisis of 2001.
